Summary:A method of forcibly charging a high-voltage battery using a motor and a Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG) is provided. The method forcibly charges the high-voltage battery with maximum charging power using the motor and the HSG simultaneously. Particularly, the method includes calculating maximum chargeable power for the high-voltage battery using three dimensional (3D) maximum charging power maps of the motor and the HSG and adjusting maximum charging power using energy integration during forced charging using the motor and the HSG simultaneously. Additionally, excessive temperature prevention logics are applied for protecting the motor and the HSG from an excessive temperature in a forced charging mode.
