Summary:A crystal device having electrode lands on a principal surface of a first package member, a crystal oscillator bonded to and held by the electrode lands, a second package member bonded to the principal surface of the first package member by an adhesive layer, a glass layer provided on the principal surface of the first package member, and the glass layer having adhesive spread preventing parts and an extended portion. The adhesive spread preventing parts prevent the adhesive of the adhesive layer from spreading out. The extended portion is extended to reach the lower surfaces of the electrode lands.
