Summary:A plug-in system is provided for a control unit of a vehicle, including a plug, such as a cable harness, and a plug module. The plug is designed to produce an electrical connection with the plug module. The plug has a plug body that accommodates a multiplicity of electrical contacts and that has a plug base that is designed to accommodate a shroud of the plug module. In addition, the plug has a plug lever that is designed to be moved from a start position to an end position, while pulling the plug in the direction of the plug module using a lever arm that engages in the plug module. The plug lever can be mounted on the plug body in two orientations, and in both the orientations the lever arm and the plug module engage in one another in such a way that the plug can be pulled in the direction of the plug module.
