Summary:Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for adaptive discovery and scanning of wireless access points. In one embodiment, a set of channels can be scanned in a first iteration to discover wireless access points. In one embodiment, a discovery profile based on the discovered wireless access points can be determined and in a second iteration, a subset of the set of channels can be scanned. In one embodiment, the subset consists of non-overlapping channels selected according to the discovery profile.
