Summary:The present invention relates to a method for treating, reducing or preventing acne. In particular, the present invention relates to methods for reducing the total number, incidence and severity of acne lesions on the skin which includes both inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions. Further, the invention relates to reducing the incidence and severity of adverse events resulting from topical application of anti-acne agents resulting in improvement of skin tone. The method includes administering a novel and stable topical anti-acne pharmaceutical composition.
