The method may include establishing an address for a plurality of network media types that a protocol stack is able to access, the address being configured as an endpoint on a first electronic device to which a second electronic device may connect to and connecting through the established address of the second electronic device supporting the same network medium. The method may further include determining which endpoint to use to establish a connection between two devices.
