Summary:An adjustable damping valve has a valve housing in which is arranged a coil housing and an annular back-iron member which are connected in a magnetically conducting manner to a valve armature. The back-iron member radially penetrates the coil housing via a plurality of windows and has flattened portions at the edge. The at least one window in the coil housing has a width corresponding at least to the width of the back-iron member in at least one assembly position so that the back-iron member can be inserted radially into the coil housing via the at least one window.
