Summary:The lithium primary battery comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode including lithium or a lithium alloy; a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. A surface of the negative electrode on a side of the carbon material layer has first ruggedness and adheres to a surface of the carbon material layer on a side of the negative electrode. A surface of the carbon material layer on a side of the separator has second ruggedness. The first ruggedness and the second ruggedness correspond to each other. The first ruggedness and the second ruggedness may be ruggedness formed by pressing the carbon material layer onto the surface of the negative electrode, thereby deforming the carbon material layer and the surface of the negative electrode.
