Summary:A method of managing communication in a cellular telecommunication network capable of using multiple carrier frequencies includes determining a downlink quality measurement of a primary carrier frequency and determining a downlink quality measurement of at least one secondary carrier frequency. The method also includes generating a combined quality measure based on the downlink quality measurement of the primary carrier frequency and the downlink quality measurement of the at least one secondary carrier frequency. Additionally, the method includes determining whether the combined quality measure fulfills a predetermined condition and, in response to determining that the combined quality measure fulfills the predetermined condition, triggering an event.
