Summary: | A flow meter for use in a flowing fluid medium includes at least one ultrasonic transducer and at least one measuring section having at least one flow pipe through which a fluid medium flows in a main direction of flow. The ultrasonic transducer is equipped to emit ultrasonic signals essentially parallel to the main direction of flow into the measuring section. The ultrasonic transducer is separated from the flow pipe by at least one thermal decoupling element. The thermal decoupling element is equipped to reduce heat transfer from the flow pipe to the ultrasonic transducer. |
