Summary:A connector includes a first terminal housing with a plurality of first joining terminals aligned and accommodated therein, a second terminal housing with a plurality of second joining terminals aligned and accommodated therein, a connecting member for pressing and thereby collectively fixing the plural first joining terminals and the plural second joining terminals at the contacts therebetween respectively, and a covering member slidably provided to cover the connecting member, to maintain the pressing force of the pressed connecting member at a specified or greater pressing force that assures the stable connections between the first joining terminals and the second joining terminals, respectively, the covering member being provided in such a manner that it is not slidable to cover the connecting member until the pressing force of the connecting member reaches the pressing force that assures the stable connections between the first joining terminals and the second joining terminals, respectively.
