Summary:A method for producing a photovoltaic module by forming solar cells on a glass plate and contacting at least one layer of liquid encapsulant with the solar cells. The liquid encapsulant has two components. The first component is an acrylic polyol having an average number of hydroxy-functional monomer units per polymer chain from 2 to 25 and Mn from 1,000 to 10,000. The second component is a polyisocyanate with an average functionality of at least two. The molar ratio of non-terminal hydroxy groups in the polyol to isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate is from 0.5:1 to 1:0.5.
