Summary:A mild, substantially isotropic skin cleansing solution was found to be able to suspend insoluble components and provide copious amounts of lather. The cleanser is formulated with synthetic anionic surfactants and a specific ratio of carboxylic acid(s) to hydrophobically modified cross-linked acrylate copolymer(s). The carboxylic acid and acrylate polymer combination were found to provide a synergistic effect on zero shear viscosity at 25 C in a specific pH and copolymer/acid concentration ratio range.
