Summary:In an information processing apparatus performing data communication through a network with an image forming apparatus to which a plurality of optional devices are additionally mounted, a CPU obtains device/apparatus data related to specification of optional devices from the image forming apparatus, and based on the obtained device/apparatus data, determines whether or not there is any optional device of which specification has been changed. If it is determined that there is an optional device of which specification has been changed, the CPU causes a display, displaying appearance images of the image forming apparatus and optional devices, to display the appearance image of the corresponding optional device in a pulsating manner.
