Summary:An optical pickup actuator having a flux shielding magnet, an optical pickup employing the optical pickup actuator, and an optical disc drive apparatus employing the optical pickup. The optical pickup actuator includes: a blade holding the objective lens; coils installed to the blade; and a base having a plurality of driving magnets interacting with a current flowing through the coils and generating a force that drives the blade in a predetermined direction, a shielding magnet arranged opposite to, and having a same polarity facing at least one of the driving magnets, the shielding magnet blocking leakage of magnetic flux from the driving magnets, and a holder having a surface to which the shielding magnet is attached and to which the blade is movably attached.
