Summary:A medicament dispenser comprising a housing; a medicament container; a dispensing mechanism for dispensing medicament from the medicament container; and a radiofrequency identifier connecting to the housing or the medicament container, in the form of a radiofrequency identification tag comprising: an antenna for transmitting or receiving radiofrequency energy originating from an external remote reader; and an integrated circuit chip connecting with the antenna. The dispensing mechanism may, for example, comprise a valve, with or without a metering chamber, for dispensing aerosol formulations of medicaments, or opening or peeling mechanisms for blister strips or packs for dispensing dry powder medicaments.
