Summary:An apparatus includes a driver circuit including electronic switches operable to deliver voltage and current to a polyphase motor; and a control circuit operable to provide driver control signals to the driver circuit to commutate the electronic switches, the control circuit (i) producing the driver control signals using a first pulse width modulation (PWM) mode when the polyphase motor produces a substantially non-zero acceleration torque; and (ii) producing the driver control signals using a second PWM mode when the polyphase motor produces a substantially zero acceleration torque.
