Summary:A cylinder head sealing system having a fail safe leakage control system. The fail safe leakage control system provides a leakage fluid path which allows any sealed fluid to leak externally from a cylinder head joint and not contaminate any other vital fluids. This feature permits the engine to "limp home" or continue operation until a permanent repair can be made to the engine. Thus, when a seal of the internal combustion engine fails, the fluid may flow within the fluid leakage paths externally from the cylinder head joint which prevents the fluid from flowing within the cylinder or other engine ports and contaminating the fluids therein.
