Summary:In an ultrasound imaging system, sets of imaging parameter values are saved as preset modes. When a user later selects one of the preset modes, the system automatically operates in accordance with the corresponding set of imaging parameter values. The imaging parameter values for each preset mode are selected and adjusted by the user while the system is generating a desired ultrasound image, thereby ensuring that the stored imaging parameter values correspond to a desired ultrasound image. The system can store preset modes for different exam types, for different image displays, for different patients and for different users. Each of the preset modes can be selected with a single keystroke.
