Summary:A bag mount assembly for a vacuum cleaner includes a vacuum cleaner housing including an air inlet and a mounting plate which is pivotably mounted to the housing in relation to the air inlet. The mounting plate includes a planar body and a channel extending from one edge of the body. The channel is adapted to selectively hold a reinforced collar of an associated vacuum cleaner bag. In this way, the vacuum cleaner bag can be selectively connected to the air inlet or be rotated away therefrom in order to facilitate the changing of the bag.
