Summary:Lenses (10) and methods of lens (10) attachment are disclosed which provide for highly effective, e.g., secure, attachment of the lens to the patient's cornea (12). Lenses (10) are configured which are particularly adapted to be overlaid with corneal tissue to protect the lenses (10) from forces parallel to the radial axis (18) of the lens (10) and generally parallel to the anterior surface (20) of the lens optic (14).
