Summary:In order to be able to cast additional layers on auxiliary layers of photographic materials immediately after the latter have been cast without encountering any difficulties as regards uniformity of the cast layer and wet adherence due to incomplete conversion of the gelatine from the sol to the gel form, the auxiliary layer must contain an effective quantity of at least one compound obtained by the reaction of trihydric to hexahydric alcohols with propylene oxide.
