Summary:Method and system for detecting a level of an engine oil of an engine include an operation for detecting a time duration in which the engine is operating. When the engine operation has continued for more than a predetermined time period, and the engine is stopped subsequently, the oil level is detected after the elapse of a second predetermined time period in which the engine is stopped. By this feature, the engine oil level is detected very accurately.
