Summary:An indicator light assembly forms part of a push button switch. A base member is formed from a transparent material having a high index of refraction. A shaft is formed on the back of the base member which cooperates with other switch elements and which defines a space in which an indicator lamp is mounted. A concave lens is formed on the back of the base member at the forward end of this space, and a Fresnel lens is formed on the front surface of the base member. A Fresnel plate is positioned over the front of the base member and the optical surfaces thus formed serve to uniformly disperse the light from the indicator lamp.
