Summary:An isocyanate-terminated sulfocompound is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a sulfopolyol or sulfopolyamine which is the reaction product of one mole of a sulfodicarboxylic acid and about two moles of an aliphatic polyol or polyamine having two or more hydroxyl or amino groups attached to a linear chain and having a molecular weight of up to 2000. The sulfocompound can be reacted with ethylenically-unsaturated alcohols, water, polyamines, or polyols, to give ethylenically-unsaturated sulfocompounds, sulfopolyureas or sulfopolyurethanes.
