Summary:A multi-ply garment component formed of two creased outer plies of fabric having a thermoplastic resin deposited on the inner surfaces and an improved method of fabricating the component are provided. The edges of the fabric with resin are folded in over an interlining piece having a dimension corresponding substantially to the final component and subjected to heat and pressure to fuse the fabric to the shape of the component. A complimentary creased fabric/interlining intermediate or creased fabric is placed in back-to-back alignment and edge stitched along the folded edges to form the component.
