Summary: | This invention provides a process for preparing an aqueous dispersion of a rosin-base material by an inversion method, the process being characterized in that the dispersant is at least one of compounds represented by the formula (I) wherein R is hydrogen atom or lower alkyl group, A is straight-chain or branched-chain alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, n is an integer of 4 to 25, one of X and Y is -SO3M and the other thereof is hydrogen atom, and M is a monovalent cation. The aqueous dispersion obtained by the process of the invention have excellent sizing effects, very high stabilities and greatly reduced foaming properties. |
