A speed indicating device is defined on the body and connected to the wheels as is a distance traveled indicating device. A sound producing assembly is mounted within the body in contact with the distance indicating device to produce sounds corresponding to the travel of the vehicle across the surface. The toy vehicle also includes a manually actuated device for indicating the direction in which the vehicle is to be turned similar to a turn signal on an automobile.
