The compounds are trialkylphosphinegold(I)2,3,4,6-tetra-O-(N-loweralkylcarbamoyl)-1-thio- beta -D-glucopyranosides which have antiarthritic activity and, in particular, are of use in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
