Summary:The color speeds of a multicolor photosensitive element are balanced during the manufacture thereof by continuously introducing into said element optical filter means adapted to modulate the photographic color speed of at least one of the selectively sensitized silver halide emulsions relative to the other(s), and then adjusting the density of said optical filter means during coating to an amount sufficient to obtain the desired color balance.
