Summary:A rotor for the preparation of identical electrophoresis gels where the liquid is permitted to flow into a rotor bowl under dynamic conditions. The rotor comprises a cylindrical body, a sealable closure, a central core, and conduits within the core which communicate with the liquid system outside the rotor through a face-seal means. The rotor further contains a plurality of annular plates laminarly stackable and inserted into and removable from the rotor. Each plate has a multiplicity of radial grooves in a juxtapositionally matchable plate-to-plate relationship.
