Summary:1310804 Benzodioxolethiones AGRIPAT SA 19 April 1971 [30 Jan 1970] 20641/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds of formula where R 1 and R 2 are H or halogen, R 3 is H halogen, isothiocyanato, C 1-4 alkyl or -COR, where R is C 1-4 alkyl, haloalkyl or alkoxy, phenoxy, or anilino and R 4 is H, halogen or C 1-4 alkoxy, at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 being other than H, are prepared by reacting a pyrocatechol derivative either with thiophosgene in the presence of a base or with an N,N-disubstituted thiocarbamic acid halide. The above novel compounds are used to combat parasitic helminths and nematodes in animals and phytopathogenic fungi and members of the order acarina in plants or seeds.
