Summary:For eliminating combustible, carbon containing vapors or smoke, there is provided a device having an inlet hood capable of collecting smoke from a broiler or other cooker. The device has an outlet and a passageway between the hood and the outlet. In this passageway is a cellular, catalyst-coated refractory block threaded with high resistance electrical wire for heating the block cells. An impeller associated with the passageway draws the vapors through the heated block cells for combustion of the vapors and then forces them on through the outlet.
