Summary:1330821 Inverting SIEMENS AG 24 Jan 1972 [25 Jan 1971] 3299/72 Heading H2F A circuit for changing the frequency of a multi-phase input A.C. source or for supplying a polyphase output of a given constant frequency from a variable input, where the output A.C. is produced by synthesis of pulses, comprises two, 3-phase inverters w 1 , w 2 connected in parallel to the output of a 3-phase, full-wave rectifying circuit G, the corresponding outputs, u, v, w and x, y, z of the inverters W1, W2 respectively being connected by chokes K1-K3 as shown, these chokes acting as voltage dividers and having tapping points a 1 , a 2 , a 3 respectively which act as output terminals for the 3-phase A.C. The output waveform is approximately sinusoidal and derived by the addition of pulsed outputs at u, v, w, x, y, z in combination with the voltage dividing properties of the chokes and the control provided for the inverters. The turns ratio of the 2 portions of the chokes is approximately 1/1 + V3 and the inverters are preferably transistor inverters.
