Summary: | A system for purifying an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine for controlling the flow of a primary air to be supplied to an inlet manifold to give a proper air-fuel mixture ratio in accordance with the opening of the throttle valve and for controlling the flow of a secondary air to be supplied to an exhaust manifold to enable the reactor to effect the reduction of unburned compounds present in the exhaust system in accordance with the vehicle driving condition. To this end, there is provided a relief valve operable in accordance with the opening of the throttle valve and concurrently in accordance with the engine speed. |
