GRADED FIELD CATHODE RAY TUBE

A cathode ray tube having a screened flat faceplate and an electron gun oriented off-normal thereto, in which means are provided to produce in the vicinity of the screen an electrostatic field shaped so as to sharpen electron beam focus over the entire screen and reduce raster distortion thereover.
