Summary:An internal combustion engine valve actuating assembly in which a valve actuating lever is fulcrumed on telescopically associated piston and cylinder members jointly defining an expansible chamber for reception of pressurized fluid tending to relatively extend said members. The bearing or fulcrum of the lever is located between the opposite axial ends of the slidably interengaged areas or interface of the members to minimize the creation of torque and/or tilting forces by longitudinal thrust of the lever.
