Bis [2-(sodium thiosulfato)ethyl] ketone, 2-(methoxy)ethyl 2-(sodium thiosulfato)ethyl ketone and propenyl 2-(sodium thiosulfato)ethyl ketone are useful as modifiers for polymers containing active hydrogen, especially cellulose.
