Summary:1,226,996. Chloroalkylthiolphosphoric acid esters or ester amides. FARBBNFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 1 April, 1968 [10 May, 1967], No. 15470/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of the formula in which each of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 is, independently of the others, a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or haloalkyl radical with 1 to 4 carbon atoms; each of R 7 and R 8 is, independently of the other, a straight chain or branched alkyl radical with 1 to 6 carbon atoms which may be substituted by 1 to 3 halogen atoms, a carbonyl, carboxyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy, alkylmercapto, alkylamino, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, or dialkylaminocarbonyl group, or a oycloalkyi radical, or an aryl radical which may be substituted one or more times by halogen atoms, nitro, cyano, thiocyano, C 1- C 4 alkyl, alkoxy, alkylmercapto, alkylsulphoxyl or alkylsulphonyl groups; X is oxygen or sulphur or an N-alkyl or N-aryl group and Y is oxygen or sulphur or Y and R 8 together are a C 1 -C 4 N-alkyl or N,N-dialkyl amino group; and n is 0 or 1, provided that (i) when X is oxygen, Y is sulphur and R 7 and R 8 represent identical aryl radicals which are unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, nitro, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy, then at least one of R 1 to R 6 must be an alkoxyalkyl group, and (ii) when X and Y are both oxygen and R 8 is alkyl, substituted alkyl or cycloalkyi then R 7 must not be an aryl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl and/or alkoxy and/or nitro and/or halogen. They are prepared by the reaction of a compound of the formula with an alcohol, mercaptan, (thio)phenol, N- alkyi or N,N-dialkyl amine of the formula H-Y-R 8 . The compounds have fungicidal properties. Compounds of Formula II are prepared by reacting equimolar amounts of a 2-chloro-phospholane or 2-chloro-phosphorinane of the formula with an aliphatic or aromatic sulphonic acid chloride of the formula R 7 -S-U.
