Summary: | 1,161,919. Glazing. OVERHEAD DOOR CORP. 18 July, 1967 [16 Sept., 1966], No. 32921/67. Heading E1R. A glazing or other panel 12 is secured in a frame 14 by a resilient non-metallic e.g. plastics member 17 comprising a channel 30 for receiving the marginal edge portion of the panel and clamping means comprising a wall 31 and wall 44 defining an L-section secured preferably integral with the free edge of the channel 30, the wall 44 being substantially displaced from the wall 33 forming a channel opening in the opposite direction to channel 30, the wall 44 having a portion 46, 47 adapted to abut or fit into a groove 26 in the wall 16 of the frame 14 thereby flexing the wall 43 to clamp the panel in the channel 30. The L-shaped portion of the member is substantially stiffer than the channel 30 may may be of P.V.C. while the channel 30 may be of soft-rubber-like material. |
