Summary:940,051. Photographic silver halide materials. GEVAERT PHOTO-PRODUCTEN N. V. Nov. 1, 1961 [Nov. 4, 1960], No. 39110/61. Heading G2C. [Also in Division C3] The sensitivity of photographic silver halide materials is increased by adding to the emulsion layer a water-soluble condensation product of a polyoxy alkylene of molecular weight less than 1500, with a polyamine and an aldehyde. The polyamine may be melamine, 2;4-diamino-6-methyl- 1;3;5-triazine or ethylene diamine, and the aldehyde may be formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, crotonaldehyde, benzaldehyde or furfural. The polyoxy alkylene compound may be polyoxyethylene glycol. Specifications 548, 019, 592, 676, 600, 058, 748,745, 748,750, 789,823 and Belgian Specifications 493, 464, 568, 687, 571, 916 and 571, 917 are referred to.
