A practice bullet as described in Specification 1,003,929 having a casing formed in two parts enclosing a pressing 3 of metal powder is modified at the joint between the two parts 1, 2. The rear part 2 overlaps the front part 1, at least a section, if not the whole of the driving band 4, being formed on the rear part 2, the abutting surfaces of the two parts describing a frustrum of a cone with its apex directed rearwardly. The band 4 may be at least 10 mm. wide. A cavity 8 to provide resilience is formed in the nose of the bullet.
