[Also in Group XL(c)] An electronically controlled milking installation includes an electromagnetic valve 19 for controlling the pulsations and a pneumatic relay 1 wherein the relay comprises an upper radial conduit 5 to which tubes leading to the milking cups are connected and there is provided a chamber 3 which is open at the bottom and forms a seat for a ball 8 retained by pins 9, which ball drops as the pressure in a conduit connecting the electromagnetic valve to the pneumatic relay begins to rise giving an additional re-entry of air into the chamber 3 enabling the massage of the teats to be accelerated. The electromagnetic valve comprises a coil 20 which operates a ball 25, the coil being actuated by an electronic impulser. |
