Summary:In general, the current subject matter relates to sounding reference signal analysis based user mobility estimation. In some implementations, sounding reference signal analysis based user mobility estimation includes receiving, via one or more antennas, using at least one processor, a plurality of sounding reference signals from a user equipment that is external to the at least one processor, analyzing, using the at least one processor, the plurality of sounding reference signals during a first time period and a second time period, determining, using the at least one processor, a target correlation value based on analyzing the plurality of sounding reference signals during the first time period and the second time period, and determining, using the at least one processor, based on the target correlation value, a mobility of the user equipment in a geographical area.
