Summary:Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for signaling overhead optimization for aerial user equipment (e.g., an unmanned aerial vehicle). An embodiment of the subject application provides a UE including: a processor; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor, wherein the processor is configured to, with the wireless transceiver: transmit a measurement report in response to that a cell number of a local maintained cell list becomes equal to or less than a report on leave threshold due to removal of at least one neighbor cell fulfilling a leave condition from the local maintained cell list, wherein the processor is enabled with report on leave for multi-cell trigger; and/or transmit flight path available information in at least one message in response to flight path information being available and a preconfigured or configured condition being met.
