Summary:A microRNA biomarker is for early diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer type dementia. The microRNA biomarker includes miRNAs of SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 5 obtained by molecule-based analysis are expressed in the blood plasma of patients with mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer type dementia. The miRNAs have an effect of reducing the expression of proteins that are related to mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer type dementia. As such, the early diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer type dementia is enabled before symptoms appear by utilizing a novel miRNA present in relatively non-invasive blood plasma as a diagnostic indicator.
