Summary: | Device performance is enhanced by adapting device and/or component configurations to user grip, lack thereof, and/or a particular user grip type. User grip may be determined based on analyses of motion, chassis touch, and/or screen touch. A chassis touch analysis may be performed with or without generating acoustic waves to detect palm and finger placement near speakers and/or microphones. The chassis touch analysis may be implemented alone or in conjunction with a touch screen analysis for a more complete understanding of user grip. User grip may be matched with a suitable grip configuration for the device or components thereof. A no touch configuration may increase device productivity since the device temperature may rise without user contact. A screen bezel touch configuration may reconfigure displayed icons to avoid unintentional selection. |
