Summary:Media, methods, and systems are provided for scheduling a scheduled event within a synchronous multimedia collaboration session within a group-based communication system. A selected start time and a selected time duration may be received such that one or more users are added to the synchronous multimedia collaboration session within a channel of the group-based communication system at or near the selected start time. Upon expiration of the selected time duration, the one or more users may be automatically removed from the synchronous multimedia collaboration session to prevent the scheduled event from extending beyond an allocated time.
