Summary:Disclosed herein are vision systems. The vision systems may be integrated into person support apparatuses, or may be integrated into mobile carts such that the vision systems are movable relative to the person support apparatus. The vision system includes at least one camera positioned such that a field of view of the at least one camera contains the person support apparatus and the subject positioned thereon. The vision system also includes a computer communicatively coupled to the at least one camera. The computer is configured to receive at least one image from the at least one camera and determine a tidal volume of the subject positioned on the person support surface from the at least one image.
