Summary:A connector for connecting to a mating connector includes a transmission element which extends along a mating direction and is mounted movably with respect to the housing of the connector between a mated position, in which the connector and the mating connector are connected, and a disconnected position, in which the connector and the mating connector are disconnected. In the disconnected position of the transmission element, an unlocking element prevents a CPA from being movable into the locked position. In a mated position of the transmission element, the unlocking element allows the CPA to be movable into the locked position.
